Back at the cabin- some family pics with our homemade shirts that didn't quite turn out.  Wow!  It was bright that day.

Great to be 8

Kennady was so excited to be baptized. It was a special day for her and we were so grateful for our wonderful family who all came to support her.
Another amazing Amy creation.  A work of art!

Summer Fun

Just a smattering of fun Summer activities.  We're trying to pack in as much as we can, since some of my poor children go back to school in two weeks!  Have I mentioned lately how much I dislike year-round school these days?

Sweets Candy factory tour.  Gotta love those hairnets!

Eden's Baptism in Blanding.  All the Halls cousins.

Grandpa has a full load.
All the Halls' cousins at Lake Powell, plus Grandpa.

Cydnee was such a nut.  She had no fear and climbed right up to the slide and went down by herself.

Battle Wounds

Madi, Taylor and Kennady.  Kennady loved hanging out with her older and very COOL cousins.

Spencer's favorite pastime.

Havyn, Ally, Cydnee
The fam at Lake Powell.  We had to leave Dave behind because of recent knee surgery.
Cydnee and Journey at dance recital.
Cydnee and Lauren at Lagoon
Jessie, Avary, Kennady, Kylee, Will and Spencer- Lagoon
Grandma and Grandpa with Spencer on famous Lagoon trainride
Is it possible we are really related?  We look a little like an Oreo cookie, don't we? Get a tan, Mom!
Dave and Katie at Lagoon

Hip to be square

At least mom and dad think it is.  Austin was named Student of the Month at Elk Ridge and was less than thrilled about the attention this might draw.  We, of course, were quite happy about it and very proud of him.  The school had a breakfast for all the families and the kids were given a plaque and a goodie bag.  It had a gift card to the movies in it, among other things, which made the whole experience just a little bit more bearable.

At least the bathroom smells good

Tonight was haircut night at our house.  While Spencer and I were busy doing this:
(We decided to leave it this way for a day just for kicks)
Cydnee was supposed to be taking a bath.  Kennady came in and said, "Mom, you gotta see this."
Pictures hardly do it justice.  It was 3 full bottles of shampoo and body wash and bubbles were EVERYWHERE.
Of course it couldn't have been the cheap stuff I usually buy.  I had actually splurged recently (I know, my splurge is probably your cheap stuff.)
Well, my bathroom smells really CLEAN now. Any ideas on jobs I can get a 4 year old to do around the house so she can earn some money of her own and go buy herself some new shampoo? Or any other "punishment that fits the crime" ideas would be greatly appreciated. I'm tired!
